Very pleased to say that our concert in Lavenham Church on 28 November 2021 was a fantaaaaastic triumph for everyone. It was cold, boy was it cold, even if the heating had been on since 4 in the morning but the concert was electric. Our soloist, Catherine May, wowwed the audience not just with the quality of her singing but with the performance that went with it. We are a very lucky small amateur orchestra to have a soloist of this stature for our concert.
Many thanks to the Lavenham church wardens who gave us so much help in organising the event (our first in Lavenham) and to Matt Maller who organised the lighting for us. And many thanks to the musicians who came to play with us at very short notice (one week or less!) when our players got struck down by covid, kidney disease, and tonsilitis.
