Sudbury Symphony Orchestra is an amateur orchestra which we have set up as an unincorporated association run by a committee which is elected annually by members of the orchestra.  The orchestra is a charity registered with the Charity Commission (registered number 1089096) and with HMRC so that it can claim Gift Aid on donations to the orchestra which includes members and Friends subscriptions as well as donations from well wishers.  The orchestra is a member of Making Music which provides resources and support to amateur music making groups throughout the UK. 

On this page we have set out our policies for managing the orchestra.  These policies have been designed to be appropriate to an orchestra which consists mainly but not exclusively of adults and rarely has a membership above 50 operating in a low risk environment.
