Welcome to Sudbury Symphony Orchestra. We are a Symphony Orchestra that aims to let amateur players play challenging music whilst still having fun. We have a professional conductor, Matthew Andrews, and we meet on a weekly basis in the academic year.

The orchestra plays a range of classical and light music. We give three or four concerts a year and spend a weekend in July practising together under the supervision of qualified music tutors.

The orchestra believes a minimum standard of Grade 5 is needed to keep up. There are no auditions but there is normally a trial period to see if everyone is happy.

We are always interested in talking to new players so if you are interested click here to drop us a line.
